P.O.D. To Tour Australia In April
February 20, 2006According to Undercover News, P.O.D. will be hitting Australian shores for the second time (ever) in April.
"We'll be coming back in April," P.O.D. bassist Traa (pronounced "Tray") told Undercover. "We'll be going to Australia and New Zealand and believe you me if I get a chance to be coming to Australia, I'm gonna be coming to Australia because next to San Diego it's probably one of the most beautiful [countries] I've ever been to."
P.O.D.'s upcoming spring U.S. tour, dubbed the "Warriors Tour 2: Guilty By Association", will feature PILLAR, THE CHARIOT and MAYLENE, all groups with a similar spiritual bent. No dates or venues have been revealed yet, although they will most likely surface in the next few weeks.
P.O.D. staged the first "Warriors" tour in 1999, which the band said in a statement was "dedicated to the fanbase that had always stood by them and supported them."
The San Diego-based quartet released its new album, "Testify", on January 24. The record bowed at No. 9 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart, with sales of 58,000 copies.
P.O.D. hit U.S. stages late last year on the Fall Brawl tour, alongside STAIND, TAPROOT and FLYLEAF.
